Neither he nor the Brighter Shores team has made any further statements on the matter. It’s possible Andrew took some time to reflect and decided the posts weren’t the best look for the game or the team. As someone who writes from the heart and is deeply passionate about his work, it’s understandable that frustration led him to vent publicly. Ultimately, the tweets are gone, Andrew has moved on, and it’s likely the end of the issue. Earlier today, Andrew Gower took to 𝕏 to express his frustration over the reaction to a recent leaderboard update. The update, rolled out yesterday, was designed to improve transparency by showing players their true rankings while offering an opt-in feature for those who prefer to remain anonymous, displayed as "Anonymous Player."

The change was widely celebrated by the majority of the player base, addressing a long-standing issue that affected most players. However, some of the game's top players, who were the main drivers behind calls for leaderboard reform, voiced dissatisfaction and even boycotted the new system.

In his post, Andrew wrote:

"I am rather disappointed that we put considerable work into improving the leaderboards for the top players (who are the only ones really affected by anonymous players) and in response they just complained and boycotted the leaderboards even more! Makes me feel we totally wasted out time trying to improve the leaderboards for them, certainly won’t make that mistake again. We will focus on improving the game for everyone else instead."

He later clarified:

"Just to be clear when I say ‘i wont make that misrake again’ I just mean I wont prioritise making further changes to the leaderboards, not that I am going to ignore any players"

While Andrew's frustration is understandable, the update largely succeeded in resolving the primary concerns of the vast majority of players. Some top-ranked players claim the anonymity feature may give others a competitive edge, but as it stands, this concern appears to have minimal impact on the fairness of rankings.
