The holiday season is upon us, and Andrew has taken to social media to share some exciting updates on what's coming to the game. From festive transmogs to long-awaited quality-of-life improvements, here's everything we learned from his recent post:
Brighter Shores - what I am currently working on.
And there is tons of urgent stuff to work on after that, so I will be kept very busy!
- I have just finished making the knowledge bar go to 200% so you can save a bit for later without being nagged like crazy if you are close to wanting it for a passive unlock. This will be in the next update - probably today or tomorrow.
- I am now currently working on transmog support and some limited edition christmas transmogs, which you will be able to collect this christmas only.
- After that I am planning on doing 'queuable actions', so for example you can shift-click on all the trees in the chunk and your avatar will chop each one in sequence. With the queue showing as an interface overlay.
- Then unless something else comes up which is more urgent, probably p2p trading.
I am hoping the queue will give people more time to talk, as you can queue up a bunch of stuff and then have more time to chat with players in the same room.
First on Andrew's list is a change players have been clamoring for: the Knowledge Bar will now extend up to 200%. This means you can stockpile experience for a little longer without being nagged or missing out on valuable passive unlocks.
For players grinding Detective in Crime Den raids, this is a game-changer. No longer will you cap out mid-run and waste potential XP. Finish your group, then cash in that hard-earned Knowledge! Andrew hinted this feature might drop in the next update-perhaps even today or tomorrow.
The community has been buzzing with speculation about holiday events, and Andrew has confirmed our hopes: Brighter Shores is getting limited-edition Christmas transmogs! Which means he's also working on a full transmog system. This will allow players to customize their appearance with cosmetic items worn over their regular gear, without affecting stats.
This addition has been a long-standing wishlist item for many, and the prospect of holiday-exclusive items makes it even sweeter. Whether it's Santa Hats or festive Party Hats (a nod to RuneScape), these items will only be available this year, so don't miss out!
Next up, Andrew is tackling a feature that's bound to enhance gameplay: queuable actions. Soon, players will be able to shift-click on multiple objects-like trees in a chunk-and have their character perform the actions in sequence. This change is designed not only to reduce click fatigue but also to give players more time to chat and socialize.
For an MMO-like experience, this feature is a huge step forward. Less frantic clicking means more time for camaraderie, and it's sure to make repetitive tasks much more enjoyable.
Another highly anticipated feature Andrew mentioned is player-to-player trading. While details are still under wraps, Andrew is sure to share more details as it nears completion.
